Clear of mind I wake late, only because I was up late with friends for a New Year’s celebration. It was a night of food, games, and fireworks. Thinking occasionally last night that I had made a public declaration in my Pinal County Lifestyles article for January that this is the year I will win the battle of my bulge.
I have received great support and encouragement from many people already.
Grabbing my iPad I immediately went to Heidi Malano’s website (Heidifit.com) to start reading her 20 day challenge and determine on what level I can start to participate.
I stretched…..rolling my back and feeling the familiar pop.
It’s gonna be a great day.
I did some Sumo Jumps, 5! Yes, 5 Sumo jumps from the jolly big man….Rested and then did some front leg kicks. 5 each leg.
Now I realize that is not much but it is a change in my behavior, even for one moment and at the first of the day. Baby steps, right?
I also looked at the apple pie on the counter….Nope, no way, not today.
I received a nice surprise comment today on my personal blog from Kitty Wakfer who is a local resident that read my article and along with her husband are fitness enthusiast’s!
If you haven’t guessed, I am just writing from the hip but my commitment is to do this daily if at all possible. It should be doable, given internet access.
Tonight, my improv troupe EXiT 185 Improv Comedy performs at BlackBox Theatre (also my theatre with co-owner JJ Freyemuth). I am committed to bringing everything I have to the show which can be physically demanding.
So, today I totally devote my life to my health, spirit, wife Michelle and to the art of improv, which I believe I owe my life to.
Make it a great day!
Bonus: If you have read this far, thank you. Come to the show tonight and mention “My Shiny Words” and receive 2 for 1 admission! Show starts at 7PM.
